The first appointment consists of choosing the cloth, taking measurements AND determining the design.
We conduct an initial fitting beginning with our sizing garments.
we then mark any adjustments to the pattern to fit your build and posture.
The second meeting is scheduled 6-8 weeks later.
a primary fitting is conducted on the garment.
At this stage, the garment is not in its final shape, only held together by loose, white 'baste' threads.
Subsequently, the garment is shipped back to Italy, where adjustments are made based on our findings.
3-4 weeks later the alterations made during the primary fitting are inspected.
We assess the need for any further alterations, which are then performed locally.
We also consider potential adjustMENTS TO the pattern for future orders.
The garment is ready for delivery.
local artisans create our garments working with the same techniques, tools, and raw materials that others have for generations before them.
All garments are made in Italy and feature a full floating canvas to ensure an unimpeded expression of the cloth's character.
We use a mid weight body canvas that runs through the whole forepart including the lapel, creating a jacket that moves and molds to your body over time.
we source SUBTLE and elegant fabrics from renowned mills AND MERCHANTS in England, Italy and France. We select them based on a philosophy of intentional simplicity.
We enjoy working with fabrics from Loro Piana, Solbiati, Drapers, Fox Brothers, Huddersfield Fine Worsteds, Holland & Sherry, Maison Hellard and Harrisons.
We can always procure fabrics from other places upon request.
we cut oUR single breasted jacket with a wide lapel, an elegant 3/2 roll and a soft shoulder.
We prefer a fuller fitting body, an extended shoulder line and some chest structure.
ITs A cut that has the capacity to sculpt and flatter.
oUR TROUSER HAS A high rise, a SINGLE forward facing pleat and A FULL leg which subtly tapers, to create a neat and timeless silhouette.
Every detail of our cut is intentional and considered.
However our house style includes a range of variations.
Depending on your preferences and the intended use of the garment we can change the expression of the silhouette.
We continue to champion the regional identity of our tailoring which at its core is soft in structure. Jackets feature minimal padding in the shoulders, lighter canvassing, and less internal construction.
If you are looking for a distinctly formal and structured silhouette we would be happy to refer you to a different maker.
